Office Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. Wednesday 7:30 am to 12:00 pm. Closed weekends.
IFC runs two programs: The Food Assistance Program for housed clients and the Homeless Food Bag program for non-housed individuals.
Our Food Assistance Program clients must reside in Whittier, La Mirada or Santa Fe Springs and register in order to receive the full benefits of our program. If our registration period is closed, or you choose not to register, USDA canned food items are available.
Registration Hours: Monday and Thursday 8:30 am -11:30 am. Registration will close on October 3, 2019 and re-open January 6th, 2020.
All Applicants required to show the following documents:
- Current CA picture ID or Driver’s license with current address or change of address card/receipt from the DMV;
- Current Utility Bill or current mail that matches the address on the ID or License.
- Proof of income for the entire household (check stubs, government awards letters, bank statements if direct deposit funds- no tax documents) Click here for Income Requirements
- ID, birth certificates, passports, immunization records or medical insurance cards for ALL household members.
Food Assistance Program Distribution Hours: Registered Clients may pick up food as indicated on their cards. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30 – 12:00 pm. Makeup Day is: Tuesday evening: 4:30-7: 00 pm.
The Homeless Food Bag program does not require registration and is available to non-housed individuals and families on Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Friday between 8:30 am and 12:00 pm.
